RECIPROCAL TEACHING

 Considering...

When reciprocal teaching is used to teach reading or to reinforce it, it is a technique that helps to improve reading and its comprehension progressively while they are increasingly able to cope with a longer text. They do this through the four strategies of this method: predict what they think is going to happen according to the title, ask questions regarding specific words or concepts that they did not understand, and to conclude the work on the text;

They clarify certain deeper topics and summarize what they read.It seems to me that the idea of learning to understand what they read through this method not only motivates and encourages collaborative work in class, but also makes them feel that there is no difference between them in academic matters, in addition to the fact that they are more motivated when the classmate take the role of the teacher, knowing that they will also have to do it. I find it a very pleasant learning environment.I am interested in trying to improve Hebrew reading with my groups; which is where they suffer and see if the reading level goes up. I feel that it will not be easy to instill the habits to conduct a class with this method, but it is worth a try.
